We are developing a new National Centre for Police Leadership, which will be the home of police leadership.

The centre will set the standards for leadership and provide guidance, tools and development opportunities for everyone in policing. These new resources are being created in addition to our current leadership programmes.

The National Centre for Police Leadership is a recommendation from a fundamental review of the College of Policing. It will develop existing leaders and leaders of the future.

When it is launched the College of Policing’s National Centre for Police Leadership will develop officers and staff in every role and rank to support the transformation of the workplace culture so there is the safe, supportive, and inclusive working environment that we all want to see in policing.

Developing our current and future leaders is crucial so they are able to lead by example, champion policing values and call out bad behaviour.

The leadership centre will provide leadership development opportunities for all in policing regardless of rank, role or whether they are a line manager.

Chief Constable Andy Marsh, CEO of the College of Policing

Planning for the National Centre for Police Leadership is progressing quickly. Further details about its launch will be confirmed soon.
