To provide investigating officers with the skills to conduct overt and covert internet investigations, for investigative or intelligence purposes.
After attending this course, the participant will be able to:
- use investigative techniques to identify relevant sources of material from the internet
- outline the risks of using investigative techniques
- ensure that material gathered through overt and covert internet investigations can be used as evidence
- understand other specialist roles in digital policing and how the III investigator can use their skills to further investigations

The course is classroom-based with daily knowledge checks. It includes both theory and practical lessons.
