Details of concordats and protocols between the College and other bodies involved in policing and related activities.
HMICFRS and the IOPC concordat
In April 2018, the College of Policing, His Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS), and the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) published a concordat setting out how they will work together to achieve the highest possible standards in policing.
The concordat sets out the three organisations' respective roles in promoting and monitoring best practice and continuous improvement in policing, in order to ensure public confidence.
This protocol details the status, governance and management, responsibilities and accountability of the College of Policing as agreed with the Home Office in 2019.
