Research context

The principle aims of the research are to describe and analyse youth justice practitioners' understanding of 'responsibility' and 'responsibilisation', and to explore how useful the concept of responsibilisation is in our responses to youth crime.

Research methodology

This is a qualitative research design using semi-structured interviews. The sample is a minimum of 20 practitioners working within Youth Offending Teams (YOTs) in the South East of England.
