College of Policing Awards – nominations now open!

After last year's success, the College of Policing Awards ‘recognising everyday professionalism and excellence’ are back for a second year.

The awards are open to anyone in the UK policing family. If you know of someone or an individual team who have gone that extra mile and deserve to be recognised for demonstrating a 'quiet brilliance' - this is your opportunity to get their work recognised!

You can nominate anyone in UK policing – officers, staff, special constables, volunteers – who you think deserves to be recognised for their contribution, either as an individual or as a whole team.

View CEO Mike Cunningham's video for more information about why it's so important to put policing colleagues forward, then follow the instructions below to make your nomination before 1 November 2019.

There are seven categories for the awards:

  • Leadership
  • Partnerships and Collaboration
  • Community
  • Diversity
  • Wellbeing
  • Professional Development
  • Evidence Base (applying research)

How to nominate:

Go to the nomination page

When you know the individual or team that you'd like to put forward, click on the button below where you'll be taken to a nomination page. This is where you get the opportunity to tell us the reasons why you think this person or team deserves to win an award.

You may find it helpful to view some of our example nomination stories from last year.

Provide concise details and examples

You'll be asked to give short examples of how the colleague or team has gone above and beyond as well as the impact their efforts have made, so you may want to give this some thought before you start to complete the nomination form. Self- nominations will not be considered as a part of this process.

We look forward to receiving your nomination!
