Aims
The aim of this programme is to develop students' skills and knowledge to allow them to integrate effectively into counter corruption units and to actively contribute to an investigation.
Objectives
- standardise counter corruption training delivery for practitioners new to the field of counter corruption
- provide guidance and processes in line with the Authorised Professional Practice (APP) to enable practitioners to conduct and contribute to investigations in their workplace
- provide practitioners with the opportunity to apply learning to a counter corruption case study

- role of a counter corruption investigator
- referral/case initiation
- intelligence
- covert tactics
- IPCC referrals
- CPS engagement
- investigative strategies
- high tech awareness
- evidence gathering
- planning arrests
- post-charge issues
Methods of delivery
Speakers, group work and a case study.
A reflective journal will be used to provide students with an opportunity to record their expectations and the success of the programme in meeting those expectations which will assist them as they progress.
Students will be encouraged to reflect on their learning throughout and record areas for development to allow them to continue their professional development in the workplace.
