PNC Browser


​Enables staff to use Browser software when accessing PNC records. 

Who should attend

​Any staff accessing PNC Names Enquiry through browser software, particularly trainers who wish to train the subject.


​By the end of the c​ourse student will have covered the following subject areas:

  • Data ​security

  • Directory tables

  • Names En​quiry

  • Structure a​​​nd use of PNC

​Must work for an organisation that is authorised to undertake PNC Names Enquiry.

​Classroom based delivery, supported with student notes.

Assessment processes / accreditation details

​Continuous informal assessment throu​​​ghout the course.

Formal assessment is also undertaken by means of a multiple choice theory assessment used to assess underpinning knowledge and a practical assessment used to assess the ability to access PNC, search for records and interpret the information held within PNC.


​Delegates are awarded a certificate of competence on successful completion of the formal assessment.

​Courses are he​​ld at customer sites and at Ryton.

Qualification and​​ accreditation for all courses run can be acquired through Accreditation of Prior Experience and Learning. (APEL) Please call for details.

Course fees do not include accommodation for student. There is accomodation available at the Ryton site, and accomodation is also available in the local area.
