Dismissal of Officers for Gross Misconduct

From May 1 2015 Police Regulations were amended to enable police officer gross misconduct hearings to be held in public. Forces publish full details of the outcome of cases and these are available for at least 28 days. Below are details of those officers who have been dismissed at a public gross misconduct hearing. Details have been published in order to provide transparency.

This provision applies only to police officers and special constables and does not apply to PCSOs or other members of police staff. Where the decision to hold a hearing was made prior to May 1 it will not be held in public and outcome details are not included here.

The College of Policing maintains a register of all individuals who have been dismissed from the police service, or who resign or retire while subject to gross misconduct investigation.
