Personal Leadership module (Senior Leadership Development Programme)

Overview

The Personal Leadership module explores the importance of self-awareness as a leader and will help you to consider your personal leadership style, emotional intelligence, your ability to influence culture and to reflect on the necessity of operating at the correct level as a leader.

Required experience

Prior to attending this programme you must already have broad experience of management and/or leadership in a policing environment with a basic knowledge of some well-known leadership models.  This module is aimed at functional leaders, commonly third line managers or above who lead teams where several other managers report to them. It is aimed at those who are department heads, chief inspectors and superintendents. Police officers, staff and citizens in policing operating at the right level are equally welcome to join the programme. Delegates are expected to own their learning and select which elements they need to complete based on individual development plans. These should be formulated in force in conjunction with line managers and based on role and experience.
