Aspire leadership development programme

Join our exciting new leadership development programme.

We are looking for police officers and staff to take part in our Aspire pilot courses, which aim to provide tools, skills, knowledge and confidence to aspiring future leaders who are currently under-represented within the service.

Our pilot courses are initially open to chief inspectors, superintendents and police staff equivalent level or above. By taking part in one of the pilot courses, you will be developing your own career while at the same time helping to shape the programme's future.

Developed in collaboration with support groups and the wider service, the programme is split into two modules that are two days each, spread over a period of around seven months.

Each module is delivered by fully-qualified trainers and consists of classroom-based learning, group work and facilitated discussions. These modules also offer a great opportunity for networking. Ongoing support including coaching sessions will be available to you between the two modules, with a final coaching session available after the completion of the final module.

Candidates will also be offered the opportunity to enrol onto other College of Policing courses and development opportunities, such as the Personal Leadership Skills, Command Skills and Career Development Days.

Interested in joining one of our Aspire courses? Places are limited, so please email for a booking form as soon as possible. Course instructions will be sent to you approximately eight weeks before the start date of the first module.

The Aspire programme is free of charge. However, a billable cancellation fee will occur. We will provide details of the billing and cancellation policy at the time of booking.

Courses provided by Leadership Development are open to delegates who have registered for College Membership and have received their Membership number.
