Aspire leadership development programme

All Aspire courses are currently postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There will be a phased re-introduction of face-to-face training and we anticipate resuming leadership training delivery in early 2021. Priority will be given to those who have had their courses postponed, but we continue to accept expressions of interest and will advise of developing opportunities.

Join our exciting Aspire leadership development programme.

The Aspire programme aims to provide tools, skills, knowledge and confidence to aspiring future leaders who are currently under-represented within the service.

We continue to welcome expressions of interest for the programme from chief inspectors, superintendents and police staff equivalent level or above.

Developed in collaboration with support groups and the wider service, the Aspire programme consists of a four day course (from Monday lunchtime to Friday lunchtime) and is delivered by fully-qualified trainers. It consists of classroom-based learning, group work and facilitated discussions. The course also offers a great opportunity for professional networking.

Three coaching sessions will be available to delegates following the course. Other post attendance support includes sign-posting to the Senior Leadership Development Programme modules (Personal Leadership Skills and Organisational Leadership Skills modules), which are designed for attendance following completion of Aspire.

Additionally, Aspire delegates will be offered the opportunity to enrol onto other College of Policing courses, such as Tactical and Strategic Command Skills courses and bespoke CPD days.

Interested in joining one of our Aspire courses? Places are limited, so please email for a booking form as soon as possible. Course instructions will be sent to you approximately eight weeks before the start date of the course.

The Aspire programme is free of charge. However, a billable cancellation fee will occur. We will provide details of the billing and cancellation policy at the time of booking.
