Assessment Process for the SCC - Candidate Briefing Sessions

These sessions are for police officers and police staff attending the next Assessment Process for the Strategic Command Course (SCC), which includes the Senior Police National Assessment Centre (Senior PNAC) and the Senior Police Staff Assessment Process.

The sessions give you the opportunity to understand more about what to expect when you attend the assessment process. You will be taken through an overview of how the assessment centre works, information about what to expect while you are there, and have your questions answered with a view to de-mystifying the process.  The sessions also provide some suggested personal development activities to support you as you work towards this step in your career.

When can I attend a briefing session?
Two events are planned for those who will be attending the Assessment Process in April-May 2020:

  • Tuesday 11 February 2020 in London
  • Wednesday 19 February 2020 at College of Policing, Ryton.

Once you have confirmation that you will be taking part in the Assessment Process, please let us know which of these sessions is best for you, by emailing hub@college.pnn.police.uk.

What if I can't attend on these dates?
For information, the presentation slides used at the last briefing session (ahead of the September 2019 assessment process), are available to download here:
