Sharing good practice

We’re working with policing colleagues and staff associations to gather examples of good practice in local responses to COVID-19. We are sharing these examples across forces around the UK and with the national response team, to help support force resilience and the wellbeing of officers, staff and volunteers during the coronavirus pandemic. We will look for themes, gaps and innovations that can inform new developments around policy and implementation.

Audio conferences

We have practitioner networks for officers and staff to quickly share information, new local practice and learning. We host audio conferences each week for people in policing to share information on practices they have put in place in response to COVID-19 and take questions from colleagues in other forces. Each audio conference has 2 places available for each of the 43 Home Office forces (you will need a pnn email to be able to join). Contact for more information.

Sharing ideas

Do you have ideas or examples of good practice that you would like to share? We want to hear directly from frontline officers and staff on what you think policing should be doing to work through this current challenge together. Submit your ideas, suggestions and good practice to the COVID-19 Police Ideas survey and we will share them across policing, so we can benefit from local ideas on a national level.

Knowledge Hub

We're sharing weekly briefings on Knowledge Hub including good practice and ideas that have been gathered through the COVID-19 Police Ideas survey and weekly audio conferences. You will find these in the COVID-19 folder in the library of the Civil Contingencies Community (login required).
