Opportunity to influence the direction of the College of Policing and shape membership for officers and staff

The College is now seeking serving police officers and staff, from all ranks and grades to take up a position on our Members' Committee, so that our national work to build professionalism in policing can be shaped by the frontline.

No previous board or committee experience is required and support will be available.
We are keen to attract women, members of ethnic minority groups, people with disabilities and members of police staff who are all currently under-represented on the committee.

The Members' Committee informs and supports the development of the College's membership and the services its members want and need.
In its first year it has considered issues including the membership offer, communications to members and the Police Educational Qualification Framework.
Daniel Reynolds who is a Sergeant with Cheshire Police said:

"I saw that I could make a difference by being on the committee and ensuring that the membership offer becomes everything it promises to be.  I would positively encourage anyone interested to step forward and be part of the team."

The committee meets three times a year and reports directly to the College Board of Directors.
The College will reimburse members for travel and accommodation to meetings as required.
