Recognition of Prior Experience & Learning (RPL) awareness events

Police officer and staff at work

We're delighted to announce two new dates and venues following our successful pilot for this event series that took place at the University of West London earlier this year.

Upcoming events

  • 8 May 2019, 10am-3.30pm, University of Sunderland. Book here

  • 16 May 2019, 12.30-5pm, Canterbury Christ Church University. Book here.

These free workshops will explain to you how you can use your service, experience and knowledge to access undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses at academic institutions and professional awarding bodies around the country.

Recognition of Prior Experience and Learning (RPL/RPEL) is a process that allows police officers and staff the opportunity to access academic credits for their experience and the learning or courses they have completed during their service.

Credits will be dependent on individual course history and experience, together with discussions with the academic institution or professional awarding body being applied to.

The events are open to retired and existing serving officers and staff of all ranks/roles who are thinking about higher educational learning, either at undergraduate or postgraduate levels.
