Overview

Executive-level assessment centre experience for those who identify as being part of an under-represented group within senior policing.

We would like to invite those who are thinking of applying for the Strategic Command Course (SCC) in the next five years, to take part in our 'senior leaders development centre' to help you prepare for Senior PNAC in a safe, professional environment.


Who is it for?

Superintendents, chief superintendents and police staff equivalent who identify as being part of an under-represented group within senior policing, and are thinking about applying to attend the Strategic Command Course (SCC) within the next five years.


Date and location

The development centre will take place between 6 and 17 November 2019 at Harperley Hall, County Durham.

Specific dates for the intakes will be provided to you nearer to the time. Please note you are required to attend two consecutive days.

What does the development centre offer you?

  • a simulation of the SCC assessment process with equivalent assessments
  • facilitated group discussions with peers and assessors to further explore the exercises
  • one-to-one feedback discussions with qualified assessors to identify key focus areas
  • opportunity for self-reflection
  • further development opportunities both prior and following your attendance
