Recognition of Prior Experience & Learning (RPL) awareness event

This is a free workshop which will explain to you how you can use your service, experience and knowledge to access undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses at academic institutions and professional awarding bodies around the country.

Date:  25 March 2019, 13:30 – 17:30
Venue: University of Northampton, NN1 1DF

Recognition of Prior Experience and Learning (RPL/RPEL) is a process that allows police officers and staff the opportunity to access academic credits for their experience and the learning/courses they have completed during their service. Credits will be dependent on individual course history and experience together with discussions with the academic institution/professional awarding body being applied to.

In January, we piloted an awareness event on Recognition of Prior Experience & Learning (RPL) at the University of West London. Its success has led to the decision to hold regional events of a similar nature, starting with this event at the University of Northampton.

Further dates will be announced later in the year.
