Guide to Information

The College of Policing will routinely publish information about our spending, priorities, decision-making, policies and procedures through our publication scheme.

Our publication scheme is now available.

We have adopted the ICO's model publication scheme, and will routinely publish information we hold about our spending, priorities, decision-making, policies and procedures as far as is reasonable and practicable.

The purpose of our publication scheme is to:

  • allow you to see what information is available (and what is not available) in relation to each class
  • explain how you can find the information easily
  • provide contact details for enquiries and get help with accessing the information state what charges may be applied
  • explain how to request information we hold that has not been published.

Exempt information
Certain information that we hold is exempt from disclosure under the provisions of the FOI Act.  We will aim to publish the information we hold that falls within the classes of information under the scheme, as far as is reasonably practicable, and where information is withheld, we will always explain why.

Disclosure log
The College's disclosure log provides responses to previous requests for information made to us. Before making a request for information to us, it is recommended that you check the disclosure log to see if the information you seek has already been disclosed.  You may access the disclosure log from the menu on the left hand side of this page.

The disclosure log will be updated on a regular basis and all updates will be published on this page.  If you have any questions regarding our disclosure log, please contact us.

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our publication scheme you may make a complaint. Details on how to do this can be found here: how to complain
