College diversity and inclusion

As an employer we’re committed to improving our performance in the area of equality and diversity and meeting our statutory duty under the Equality Act 2010

We are working in line with the National Police Chiefs Council Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy 2018-2025 to drive the direction of our work alongside the rest of policing.

Our current equality objectives for 2019/20 are:

  • Improving data quality and regular monitoring
  • Implement actions and next steps from our Equal Pay Audit

  • Offer targeted development opportunities for underrepresented groups

The College has developed a Workforce summary report to help us comply with the public sector equality duty. It includes a diversity analysis of our workforce data as well as setting out our equality objectives, see our monitoring for 2018/19 here. You can find our Workforce Diversity profile for 2019 here.

We use the Equality Impact Analysis Toolkit as a practical way to integrate the equality duty considerations into our business practices.
