Philip Mills

Philip applied to join the committee as he wanted to support the introduction of membership of the College of Policing and he wanted to be involved in helping that membership become something that appeals to all officers and staff and provides them with something meaningful.

He is a Senior Investigating Officer for Northants Police currently working on the EMSOU (East Midlands Special Operations Unit) Major Crime team. His background is mainly in investigation having worked in CID, Public Protection and Intelligence. He is also currently undertaking an MSt in Applied Criminology and Police Management at Cambridge University.

The role on the membership committee has allowed him to see the hard work and dedication of College of Policing staff and the determination to make membership of real value. He is proud to be a part of the first committee supporting the work to introduce membership and to help make policing a profession.
