Clare Minchington

Clare Minchington has spent her career working within professional and higher education.  She is currently the Chair of BPP University and a Council Member and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee for the General Optical Council.

 Before moving to non-executive roles, Clare spent 15 years with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), rising to Executive Director for Strategy and Development, responsible for ACCA's strategy, brand, policy and qualifications. She originally qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse and, prior to joining ACCA, held academic positions at Manchester Metropolitan University and the Open University Business School.

 Clare has been a member of IFAC's International Accounting Education Standards Board, Chair of the Dean's Advisory Board for Oxford Brookes University Business School and a trustee and Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee of the Terrence Higgins Trust.
