Search the catalogue for books, reports, theses, multimedia and access online journals. Please contact us if you need any help with searching.
This is the starting point for your research. The catalogue is actively updated by the library team, indexing and cataloguing policing-related books, journals and reports. If you cannot find the books or resources you require - don't give up on your search. Please contact us - we will purchase new resources that meet our collection development policy.
It also contains links to full-text material where available - you can view resources immediately online.
Registered library members should login with their borrower number before making selections and submitting requests so that books can be posted to you or reserved, and scanned journals can be emailed.
Previously UK police were able to access our eResources (electronic journals) directly from our catalogue via the PNN (Police National Network) without logging in. The recent migration to the PSN (Public Services Network) has led to a loss of access for some forces. Please contact us for an Athens account if you require access to journals. An Athens account allows access to our eResources from any computer, not just your force network.
Searching the catalogue is one way to search journals, however you can also search specific databases directly. See below for direct access to databases - you will need an Athens account to view full-text articles. If you cannot access a journal or if the Library does not currently subscribe to a title, please contact us - we will consider purchasing new policing-related titles.
