The SIODP will support you in becoming an efficient, competent and professional senior investigator. Successful completion of all elements will lead to national recognition and entry onto the SIO Professional Register held by the College.
The development programme consists of:
Core learning module - two week classroom based learning
MC or SOC module – one week of classroom based learning in your chosen pathway; either major crime investigation or serious and organised crime investigation.
Hydra module – one week Hydra event (interactive immersive learning environment) in your chosen pathway.
All components of the SIODP must be completed as well as the professional development portfolio (PDP) and a professional discussion to achieve recognition. The PDP is designed to demonstrate and record professional competence in the role of an SIO.
