The International Leadership Programme (ILP) is a full-time residential course designed to develop middle managers.
The ILP is designed to develop middle managers. At the heart of the programme is a core of leadership and management. To this we add specialist knowledge of managing operations, the investigation of serious crime, and a number of other subjects which are part of contemporary policing.
The ILP has produced graduates among the highest levels of police leadership internationally. As chief officers, many of our graduates retain a positive view of the programme, and have used it to develop the staff who follow them.
The programme is designed to develop the management, leadership and operational command skills of delegates, enabling them to lead teams and manage change more effectively. UK policing methods are used as a vehicle to enable delegates to compare and contrast their respective policing models.
