Ensuring Public Safety​

This category encompasses learning relating to public order, firearms, roads policing and police driving, as well as first aid and personal safety.

This area includes contact management and emergency procedures in a range of contexts including first response, interoperability with other emergency services, and dealing with major incidents, particularly in the context of multi-agency working, as well as casualty bureau and disaster victim identification.
 
The learning standards, together with associated learning materials including e-learning, are accessible to registered users of the College Managed Learning Environment (MLE).

National learning standards are aligned to Authorised Professional Practice (APP) and National Occupational Standards (NOS) contained within the Policing Professional Framework.
