The Policing Professional Framework (PPF) provides role profiles for officers based on rank and role profiles for staff based on level.
These profiles are built around National Occupational Standards (NOS) and are supported by personal qualities. You can find the PPF on the Skills for Justice website.The College recently conducted a review of the personal qualities part of the PPF. The results of which have now been published and form the Competencies and Values Framework (CVF) . It sets out nationally recognised behaviours and values, which will provide a consistent foundation for a range of local and national processes. This framework will ensure that there are clear expectations of everyone working in policing which in turn will lead to standards being raised for the benefit and safety of the public.The College is now undertaking a review of all of the role profiles on the PPF, this will be broken into two phases:Phase 1 - 50 core role profiles will be ready by the end of March 2017Phase 2- the remaining profiles (approximatley 150) will be available by the end of September 2017.
