CPD Week 2018

CPD week returns again this year, 12 to 16 November.

We're aiming to make it bigger and better than ever before and we're currently working with forces to once again offer some fantastic activities. Nearer the time we will list all the activities on this page that you can sign up to,  so please check back on this page later in the year

Please note that many of the opportunities we will be offering will only be open to College of Policing Members. You will need to include your Membership number when you register your interest in an opportunity. If you're not yet a member it's free and easy to join – find out how.

All year round support for your development

You shouldn't wait until CPD Week to develop your skills. If you are brand new to CPD or looking for a quick reminder then see our Continuing Professional Development page. From there you could plan or reflect on your CPD using our toolkit and resources or upload CPD evidence to your Membership profile page. Members can gain free access to our mentoring scheme, where you will buddy up with a more senior or experienced police professional who will offer advice, guidance and discuss how you can improve in your current position or what needs to be done to grow and develop.

Looking for role specific CPD? Have a look for your Policing Professional Profile for ideas on CPD activities you can undertake to help you to maintain and enhance your competence.  Remember, CPD is about what you get out not how much you put in.

How forces can participate in CPD Week

If your force wants to participate in CPD Week and might be able to offer development opportunities to police officers and staff, we want to hear from you!

Last year we worked with many forces and were able to offer a diverse range of opportunities, from a day watching drug dog refresher training at West Yorkshire Police, to Surrey Police's Effective Communication Workshop, and shadowing an operational Sergeant at Heathrow Airport.

Please get in touch to discuss how your force can support CPD Week and help everyone working in policing develop their skills. Please email professionaldevelopment@college.pnn.police.uk

CPD Week posters

Raise awareness of CPD Week with these A3-sized poster designs you can print and put up in your force to inform colleagues of the support and guidance available from the College and how your force can get involved in the campaign.
