We're actively seeking partner organisations to open the doors to police leadership.
Working together, we will place police officers and staff in your organisation for between one day and 18 months. They'll have the ability to take on a project or genuine roles thanks to their unique skills and experience and they will benefit by learning and developing in ways not accessible inside policing.
This represents an unprecedented opportunity for organisations like yours to tap into the unique and impressive skills of policing. What's more, you'll get to work with our brightest and best.
We're seeking to build a network of partners. We'll work alongside you to identify the right type of placement and role in your organisation where these unique skills and experience will be of most benefit.
We will identify external opportunities for police officers and staff and offer your staff opportunities in the exciting and varied world of policing.
Insights – Police officers and staff will spend between one day and two weeks working together with colleagues from your organisation. They will see different approaches, explore how you tackle particular challenges and innovate and solve problems together.
Attachments – Attachments of up to three months will give our police officers and staff practical experience in your sector. Attached staff will deliver a project or piece of work.
Secondments – Seconded officers and staff will take on genuine role in a host organisation for up to 18 months. They will gain insight and exposure to the culture and challenges faced by your organisation and use their experiences to manage or be part of a project or team.
Short insights and attachments will be funded by the police service. Longer secondments into genuine roles will have bespoke funding arrangements.
Please contact your local police force or the College of Policing secondment team by email to arrange further information, an informal meeting or discussion: firstname.lastname@example.org
