Officers and staff who want to complete higher education can apply for tuition fees
Officers and staff can now apply for up to £3,000 a year towards their tuition fess if they want to complete higher education studies.
You can already be in study, or wish to start a course by March 2017, and apply for the funding towards your tuition fees.
The College of Policing Bursary Scheme is open to all officers and staff in England and Wales and the funding will last for up to two years of study.
You will find more information on the Bursary Scheme on the What Works Centre for Crime Reduction website.
College of Policing Director of Knowledge, Research and Education, Rachel Tuffin said: "The new bursary scheme offers an exciting opportunity for our members to apply for funding to support them in their studies.
"We are committed to supporting the continuing professional development of both police officers and staff. This scheme helps our members to develop their knowledge and skills, advance their careers and provide the best service to the public.
"We are particularly interested in receiving applications from frontline officers and staff who can tell us how they will use the experience to do their own research and share the benefits with their colleagues."
The College has other services to support members taking part in research and academic study:
The scheme is only open to officers and staff who have pre-registered as College members on the Members' Hub of the Police Online Knowledge Area (POLKA).
