Career advice for officers and staff at national event

You can get advice from the College by attending the Emergency Services Show

The College of Policing will be on show at the UK’s leading event for all emergency services this September, offering officers and staff career advice.

The annual Emergency Services Show, which is free for officers and police staff to attend, will have seminars covering topics including training, innovation and collaborative working.

The College, the professional body for police, will have a stand alongside more than 400 other exhibitors during the show, which runs from 23-24 September 2015.

By visiting our stand you will get the most up to date information on career pathways in policing, membership of the College and what products and services we can offer as the professional body to help you. There will be information in other areas including disaster management and an expert from our Police National Search Centre.

We will be on stand R60.

The show in Birmingham’s NEC, which attracted more than 5,500 people last year, will feature live demonstrations and include key players from the voluntary sector who have a substantial resource of trained and skilled people, vehicles, equipment and premises that provide practical and emotional support before, during and after an emergency.
This allows the police and other emergency services to concentrate on the immediate needs of a crisis, freeing up vital resource.

Organisers have said this year’s show will feature the most-wanted police kit and services including the latest communications technology from rugged laptops to smartphone apps for secure group messaging.
