Shindo Barquer

Shindo Barquer is a serving Chief Inspector in West Midlands Police. During her career she has been involved in operational policing, specialist roles at local and strategic levels. Her current role involves working with strategic partners in the arena of Domestic Abuse, Organised Crime Groups and Shindo chairs the Domestic Homicide Review Panel.

Besides her duties as a Detective Chief Inspector Shindo is a member of the British Association for Women in Policing and the International Association of Women Police. Shindo has supported a number of International training conferences in Canada, Australia and the UK as a key note speaker and facilitated several workshops to raise the awareness of honour based violence and forced marriages.
